My Approach to Psychoanalytic Therapy
psychoanalysis & psychotherapy for adults & children
Being listened to and heard can make a lasting difference in a person’s life.
I offer psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for adults, young people, and children in Cambridge and Finsbury Park.
These are forms of talking therapy that begin with the understanding that our present struggles are often shaped by our history, and by experiences, desires and limits that quietly influence us, sometimes beyond our awareness. Through a form of listening and dialogue that gives careful attention to these forces, therapy and analysis can create space for new ways of living, relating, and understanding one’s self to emerge.

I have a background in academia and many years of experience teaching English Literature.
Alongside my private practice, I work with children and adults as an honorary psychotherapist at Home-Start Cambridgeshire and the Highbury Counselling Centre.
I am a candidate at the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR) and a registered trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I follow the ethical codes of both CFAR and the UKCP and hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
Psychoanalytic Therapy for Adults & Young People in Cambridge & North London
Appointments for adults & young people
I offer psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for adults and young people in Cambridge (CB3) and North London (N4).
First and foremost, this is a confidential space where you can be listened to with care and sensitivity, and where you can take the time to speak as freely as you wish to about your life, your history, and what it is that may be troubling you.
People seek therapy for many reasons: you may be coping with a long-term mental health condition; an addiction; a painful loss; a traumatic experience; or a persistent sense of frustration or anxiety related to your work, relationships, sexuality, or your body.
Psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic therapy are forms of self-exploration, which aim at the creation of new pathways through what is distressing you.
Because no two people are alike, therapy takes a unique form for each individual. For some, it may be a process of giving words to experiences that have been difficult to make sense of; for others, it may involve creating ways of navigating the world so that it feels more manageable.
The process can be challenging, yet also life-affirming, offering the possibility of lasting change.
The work is open-ended, with its duration and frequency shaped by the needs of each person.
Child Psychoanalytic Therapy in Cambridge & North London
Appointments for children
It can be difficult at times for children to put words to what may be troubling them.
I work with children in Cambridge (CB3) and North London (N4), creating a welcoming, supportive space for each child to express themselves through play, art, and conversation.
My role is to listen closely — to both what is said and what is shown — and to help a child explore what they bring at their own pace.
Therapy can be valuable in many situations, from navigating Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavioral and emotional difficulties, family changes, friendship challenges, and school pressures to anxiety or distress without a clear cause.
